Blog every day in May: Spring is Here!

Blog Every Day in May badge

I love Spring. I love the daffodils and the crocuses (croci?) that bring us hope that summer is on the way.

The blue sky that starts to poke through gives up hope that the weather will improve and quite often we get a few days that are the best of the year. It doesn’t really matter what happens then weatherwise, as we’ve had a few good days.

I love that I can start to pack away the winter boots and coats and get my sandals on my feet which I much prefer.

I love that my kids don’t have to be wrapped up in long sleeves; we’ve barely seen baby Isaac’s little podgy arms since he was born in October.

We can set off out without coats and pushchair rain covers.

We can have picnics before preschool that don’t have to be on the carpet in the front room.

The bubbles can come out in the garden and the outside toys.

The kids can play the best spring (and summer) game ever for little ones is giving them a bucket of water and a paintbrush outside for them to draw on the ground and wall with no mess and constant changing creativity of little ones.

For me it is a time of hope and new beginnings and the light nights lift my mood.

I can’t wait for both kids to play together in the garden for the first time and I can’t wait to sit in the garden on a lovely evening with the kids in bed and a glass of wine!

You paint such a beautiful picture. I bet your kiddies will have a wonderful time in the sunshine.

Brings back lovely memories of when my two were younger. Just hope we do get the sun this year…we all need a bit of nurturing I think.
