I’ve been waiting this day for over a year, yet never believed that it would actually come.
Apart from a token 8 days that I worked last September, I have been off work since July 2012.
And today my maternity leave ends and I return to work. Thank goodness I am just working Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. My meal plan will reflect this work pattern. My mum will feed me and the kids on Monday or Tuesday (or both), the slow cooker will be making an appearance regularly I would think and on Friday’s the kids will be having a snack as they will have been fed at nursery and Rod and I will have a later supper. On Wednesdays and Thursdays I will be able to play about more and cook and experiment, but we’ll see how it goes.

Monday – tea at mums
Tuesday – slow cooker stew
Wednesday – cottage pie
Thursday – Hunter’s chicken (not sure what this is! Picked it up on reduced shelf)
Friday – fajitas
Saturday – curry (maybe)
Sunday – roast pork
