Our garden has flooded and we have the central heating on: Happy June!
1. Fry a chopped onion in a splash of oil until softened. Allow to cool.
2. Make breadcrumbs from 2 slices bread with crusts cut off. Mix with onion, 500g turkey mince, 1 egg, squirt tomato ketchup, 2 tablespoons of Worcester sauce.
3. Shape into meatloaf shape on ungreased baking tray.
4. Bake at 180fan for 40 minutes.
Six more kids’ aprons made. My new business venture.

Or a boy…
My new cake plate, modelled by Evie’s buns.
Stylish! As was the mess she left!
Licking the bowl earlier on:
My Popular Crafts Magazine union jack craft swap has been received today by my partner Sarah, so here’s what was sent and received! You can follow Sarah on Twitter!
Sarah sent me this gift, she has followed me on twitter for a while and knew I liked to craft and bake, so the gift was really thoughtful.
Here’s the gift
A little blackboard complete with union jack ribbon and red and blue pegs for notes
Sarah has a reputation for sending peg magnets with little ladybirds
Some labels for my crafting
A vintage cake decorating book – right up my street.
My idea was to make a crocheted bag and line it with union jack fabric. I had never either made a crocheted bag before or lined a bag, so Sarah was my guinea pig!
Here are some pics of the completed bag and the gift of pretty notelets that I sent with it.
Showing the lining
The strap is also strengthened and lined with the union jack fabric
The gift I sent
I don’t make many cards, but thought this stamp was quite apt.
Here is a quick look at what I received for my spring swap with popular crafts magazine, and also a reminder of what I sent. I swapped with Stacey from SoStaceySews.
Here’s what I received from her:
The whole gift from Stacey
The crafty item following the spring theme
Stacey knows my baking hobby well!
Pretty bowls that even I can’t bounce around and manage to break
A lovely cross-stitched card.
And here’s a reminder of my blog that I did at the time that I made the gift for Stacey.
Quilted table cloth
Father’s day card from nursery.
