I am planning lessons at home. I am not happy about this!

We decorated mugs with the rangers with the porcelain pens from Popular Crafts. Thank you!!!

Out of the 2 rhubarb pies that I made yesterday, this is all that’s left!

I did give some away…honest!
I’ve made a rhubarb tart with the rhubarb I bought yesterday at the Wakefield Rhubarb Festival.

And of course Evie had to lick the bowl!

I went to the food, drink and rhubarb festival in Wakefield today. I bought rhubarb of course and a few other things including chilli jam from the chilli jam man and olives from an olive and Turkish delight (bizarrely) stall.

On Wednesday the 15th of October, I attended the most exciting Clandestine Cake Club meeting so far! We were meeting in our not-so-secret venue of “The Food Academy” in Flannels in the centre of Leeds. There were about a dozen members there, some I had met before, some I knew on Twitter, and some who I’d never met.
For those of you who do not know what the Clandestine Cake Club is, read on! It was the brain child of Lynn Hill who wanted people to bake cakes and get together to socialise and have fun. Lynn is currently trying to conquer the world with 36 clubs (and counting) all over the country and also a couple in Europe! You can find out more at The Clandestine Cake Club website.
As always, everyone was friendly and talkative and the cakes looked amazing! But unusually, we had a few special guests – Matt Allwright, a cameraman and a producer from BBC1′s “The One Show”!
We were filmed at our meeting, eating andtalking about cake and other things, and Matt entered into the spirit of the afternoon, tasting many cakes and joining in with the chatter.
The programme is due to air tomorrow night (Friday 24.02.12) at 7pm on BBC1.

Here are my blogs about the CCC in Headingley and Harrogate and Armley
My car’s clock turned over to 90,000 today. When I got it, it had 6 miles on the clock!

I’ll think I’ll dust the dashboard to celebrate!
Tomorrow is Thinking Day – a day where guides all over the world think about each other. It is on the birthday of our founder Lord Baden Powell and also the birthday of his wife, Olave.
We had an indoor campfire with singing and skits. All the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and Adult Leaders from our division were there.
